  • Inclement Weather Reminder

    Frederick County Public Schools currently has no plans to use inclement weather days as virtual learning days during the 2021-22 school year. Instead, such days will be a No School Day.

  • Return to Learn Plan

    The purpose of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act Elementary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III Fund is to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impacts of COVID-19 on the nation's students by addressing students' academic, social, emotional and mental health needs.   • Virtual Learning Option for Second Semester

    Pending availability, Frederick County Public Schools is able to provide students who have a documented chronic medical condition with a limited virtual learning option through Virtual Virginia for the second semester of the 2021-22 school year. The deadline to apply for this option is December 10.

    Frederick County Public Schools is one of 11 school divisions from across Virginia to receive a state grant to develop or implement innovative programs that support the Virginia Board of Education’s Profile of a Graduate and Virginia’s 5 C’s- critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, communication and citizenship.

  • On-Time Graduation Rate

    Frederick County Public Schools’ on-time graduation rate for the Class of 2021 was 93.6 percent compared to Virginia’s rate of 93 percent. In addition to exceeding the state’s on-time graduation rate, the school division’s 4.1 percent dropout rate for the Class of 2021 was lower than the state’s rate of 4.3 percent.
