    2023-24 Preschool Applications

    Preliminary applications for the 2023-24 FCPS preschool program are now being accepted from the families of eligible students residing in the Apple Pie Ridge, Evendale, Gainesboro, Indian Hollow, Jordan Springs, Middletown, Redbud Run and Stonewall elementary school attendance zones.

  • High School Textbook Adoption

    Frederick County Public Schools is in the process of adopting new textbooks and supplemental materials for Introduction to Natural Resources (all high schools) and Economics and Personal Finance (James Wood High School) courses. The textbooks and supplemental materials under consideration are available for public review through April 3 in the main office of those schools.

    Superintendent's Proposed FY24 Budget

    Schools Superintendent Dr. George Hummer's proposed budget includes initiatives to address the budget priorities adopted by the School Board and support the school division's strategic plan "Inspire 2025: A Promise for Progress." Dr. Hummer will be hosting the following Town Hall Meetings to answer questions about the proposed budget.
