The W.R. Legge FFA Chapter Awards Banquet will be held on May 19 at 6:00 p.m. Dinner will be served followed by the awards program and slide show.

Spring Chorus Concert
Join us for the Spring Chorus Concert on Tuesday, May 24 at 6:00 p.m. To avoid overcrowding, we will hold the Sixth Grade Concert from 6:00-6:30 p.m. and we will begin the 7th/8th Grade Concert at 7:00 p.m.

Spring Band Concert Information
It's Spring Concert Time! The 6th Grade Band and Concert Band will perform on May 17 at 7:00 p.m. The Symphonic Band will perform on May 16 at 7 p.m.

FFA Members attend the State Skillathon Contest
These W.R. Legge FFA members weathered a bitterly cold day at the State Skillathon Contest held at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds in Harrisonburg. They enjoyed learning about livestock, making some new friends, judging some pigs and eating at the Wood Grill!

The NEXT Project will hold a final presentation on June 2. The showcase will be located around the building so you can see all the projects they have created.

FCMS Trojans Defeat JWMS Bulldogs
FCMS 7th and 8th grade boys defeated the Bulldogs of James Wood Middle.

FCMS Raises Breast Cancer Awareness
Frederick County Middle School English Teacher Shawn Gardner's work to raise awareness about breast cancer and funds to help fight the disease inspired one of his students to get involved with a school-wide initiative recognizing October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Jordan Springs Elementary School launched a student mentor/buddy program in 2021-22 in which fourth and fifth grade students serve as buddies to some of their peers in kindergarten and first grade. The program is helping the younger students feel more comfortable at school after having their normal school experience disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic the past two years.
