The Virginia Department of Education has released SOL test results from 2020-21 and updated School Quality Profiles. Because school accreditation was waived for 2021-22 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, SOL test data will serve as a tool to set a baseline for recovery and measure student learning growth this year. The results will help determine where students are in their learning right now so plans can be further developed and refined to help them recover from the unprecedented disruptions to instruction caused by the pandemic. The 2020-21 SOL results should not be used to make comparisons among school divisions, schools or results from previous years due to the varied learning conditions and SOL participation rates around the state.
