Computer Science Grant

  • Frederick County Public Schools and George Mason University have been awarded a Virginia Department of Education Advancing Computer Science Education Grant worth $350,000 over two years to increase computer science opportunities for K-12 students. The grant will help integrate computer science into all content areas K-8, increase computer science electives offered in middle and high school, and engage students and teachers in student-led projects through the Shenandoah Valley Computer Science Regional Partnership which was founded by Frederick County Public Schools in 2019.
