Frederick County Public Schools has been awarded $37,500 as part of a competitive grant process aimed at upgrading equipment for career and technical education (CTE) and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs in schools and technical centers. The grant funds will be used to purchase a laser engraving and cutting system for James Wood High School’s Precision and Manufacturing Go Hand-in-Hand program. A total of $600,000 was awarded to 16 school divisions in Virginia.
