  • Employees may privately tutor students for pay at their own discretion providing the following conditions are met:

    • Tutoring may not be done on school premises.

    • Students may not be concurrently enrolled in a class under the employee’s direction.

Employees may receive pay from the school division for tutoring students outside of their contract hours as part of a school initiated instructional program. This includes being part of a Supplemental Educational Services (SES) agreement.

Frederick County is not responsible for providing private tutors, including current employees, with instructional materials; however, information for purchasing adopted textbooks will be made available upon request.
