531R - Recommendation, Appointment, and Reappointment

    After salary scales have been approved for the next year, the superintendent shall distribute assignment and salary memos to professional personnel.

    Professional personnel are to return signed contracts to the Human Resources office within seven calendar days. Those who do not accept the offer of employment need to inform Human Resources in writing.

    Assignment and status, while on continuing contract, shall continue from year to year subject to the authority of the superintendent or school board and pursuant to policy 533P, Assignment, Reassignment, and Transfer.

    Employees will be issued a new assignment and salary letter for any change in assignment, reassignment or transfer. The employee's salary shall be based on his/her credited experience under the job description/salary scale, as may be augmented pursuant to regulation 522.

    Classified Staff

    All classified employees will be hired for a probationary period of six months.
