Athletics Registration
Beginning with the Spring 2026 athletic season, all high school athletic registrations must be completed online, including for students who have already participated on an FCPS athletic team during the current school year. At this time, only students planning to participate in spring 2026 sports should complete registration. Information for the 2026–27 school year will be shared at a later date. This new online registration process currently applies to high school athletics only. Middle school athletics will continue to follow the existing registration procedures at this time.
Arbiter Sports, the new online registration system, streamlines the registration process by allowing parents and guardians to provide information and complete all required forms entirely online. This secure, multilingual platform improves efficiency, ensures accuracy, and simplifies the experience for families, coaches, and school staff. Information entered will also be saved for future registrations, reducing the need to re-enter data. To support families during this transition, free internet access is available at any FCPS school site for those who may need it. Families who need additional assistance may contact their school to schedule an appointment for support.
All registrations must be completed and submitted prior to tryouts, which begin on February 23, 2026. Late submissions cannot be accepted. Families are encouraged to complete the registration process well in advance to ensure their child’s eligibility.
Please note that completing the online registration does not replace the required physical examination. A current VHSL Physical Examination Form must still be completed by a licensed healthcare provider, and a copy must be submitted directly to your child’s school prior to tryouts. Students will not be permitted to participate in tryouts without a physical on file.
Complete Athletic Registration for the 2026 Spring Season
Step 1: Create an Arbiter Registration Account
- Complete the User Sign Up Form.
- Activate your account using the link automatically sent to the email address provided during setup.
- (Note: the activation email may appear in the junk or spam folder.)
Step 2: Complete the Athletic Registration
- Select the Athletic Registration program from the appropriate High School Registration Site.
- If you are not already logged in, please sign in using the username and password you created when setting up your account.
- Scroll to the bottom and click on the “Activity Registration Form 2025-2026.”
- Complete all required fields.
- A confirmation email will be sent once registration has been successfully submitted.
