Heat-related Illnesses

During high temperatures and/or humidity, supervisors of practices and competitions will make accommodations, including:

  • More frequent and longer water breaks.
  • More frequent and longer rest breaks.
  • Reducing equipment worn.
  • Modifying total practice time.
  • Changing activity location.

Student-athletes will have unhindered access to hydration at all times as per SB1104.
