Twenty-five years after the events of September 11, 2001, a generation of students is growing up without personal memories of that day. Yet at Dowell J. Howard Center, students in the Criminal Justice Program are learning that some moments in history are too important to forget.

On Friday, August 28, more than 400 runners and dozens of volunteers gathered at Admiral Richard E. Byrd Middle School for the third annual Frederick County Parks and Rec Run at the Top Glow All Out 5K!

Gavin Flynn, Nathan Sanchez, and Lemuel Boateng, three Frederick County high school students from the Data Science, Computing, and Applications (DSCA) Lab School at the Dowell J. Howard Center recently completed a high-profile summer internship pilot with VA Works.
