Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-24 School Year
-
All children who will be five years of age on or before September 30, 2023, must be registered for kindergarten for the 2023-24 school year. Parents wishing to delay their child’s attendance for one year must submit a written request to the Superintendent. Parents with children who will begin kindergarten in the 2023-24 school year must contact the registrar at the school their child will attend to complete the registration process remotely or to make an appointment to complete the process at the school.
Parents with a student already enrolled in Frederick County Public Schools are to register their rising kindergarten student from February 1-28. The parents of rising kindergarten students who have no other children enrolled in FCPS should register their children from March 1-31. Completing the kindergarten registration process early enables schools to better prepare for the upcoming school year.
