The U.S. Department of Agriculture waivers that allowed all FCPS students to receive free school meals the past two years have expired. This means school breakfast and lunch will not be available to all students at no cost during the 2022-23 school year. However, eligible families can participate in the free and reduced priced meals program and have their students receive free or reduced priced meals at school each day classes are in session. Applications for the program will be distributed to students on the first day of school (August 15) or can be completed online. Thanks to the Community Eligibility Provision, free school meals will be available to all students at Stonewall Elementary School and the Dowell J. Howard Center this year.
