School Nutrition Services

  • The School Nutrition Services Department strives to see that all children have access to healthful school meals and nutrition education and that the last child served receives the same quality and choices as the first child served. The department follows the guidelines as outlined in the Healthy Hunger Free Act of 2010.

    Frederick County food service programs use a computerized system to record lunch sales. Parents may pay for student meals by sending in a check or cash which is recorded on the child's account and dispersed as they make purchases at meal time. Or you can pay online through You may pay for student meals on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

    In participation with the Federal school meal program, children from households that meet Federal Income Guidelines are eligible for either reduced price or free meals. Frederick County Public Schools administers its meal program without consideration of race, color, national origin, age or disability.
