Summer Apex Programs 2023
James Wood High School will be offering courses for credit recovery this summer through Apex. Apex is a computer-based program that allows students to complete a course online while being monitored by a teacher from James Wood High School. Students will be limited to two recovery courses or one new course in the Apex summer program. New courses will only be offered via Apex if there are available seats after credit recovery registration.
Applications will be accepted online via the James Wood High School website beginning May 30, with a deadline of noon on June 22.
Approved applicants will be notified by email. Once payment is received, the student will receive instructions via email on how to start the course.
Classes will start on June 22 and must be completed by August 14. All work will be done virtually. Students must have internet access in order to take a summer school course. Teachers will meet with students virtually via Google Meet as needed and requested by the student. Face-to-face meetings will take place upon appointment with the teacher.
Fees: Repeat courses cost $250 for a full credit and $125 for a half credit course. New courses cost $325 for a full credit and $165 for a half credit course. New courses are subject to availability.
