Millbrook Names New Track and Field Coach
Jamie McCarty has been named Millbrook’s new Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Coach. McCarty succeeds Joe Hall who held the position for the last three seasons. McCarty was named the Winchester Star Track Coach of the Year in 2017.
McCarty is not new to coaching at Millbrook. He has been the Cross Country Coach for four years and the Assistant Track Coach for three years. In his career as an Indoor/Outdoor Head Coach he has led teams to three district titles and four regional titles. He has coached State champions in the following events: 100 and 300 hurdles; 200 and 800 meters; long jump; and high jump. In addition, he has coached All-State athletes in: 400, 1600 and 3200 meters; triple jump; and 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relays.
Millbrook Coordinator of Student Activities Jared Uhler says, “We are very excited to name Coach McCarty as our Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Coach. Coach McCarty brings a lot of experience to the position and has great enthusiasm and knowledge for the sport.”
