    Join us for Animals at Night on Thursday, October 6 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. This is a Title I Event which will feature a presentation from Blue Ridge Wildlife Center as well as K-9 Police Dog demonstrations. The Book Fair will also be open to students and parents in the library.

    Please have your child wear sneakers/tennis shoes on the day they are scheduled for PE class. If your child is not wearing appropriate footwear, they will not be able to participate in class activities. Please refer to the MES school calendar to check  your child's resource schedule.

  • I'm Determined Mini-Summit

    Join us on Saturday, October 15 at Robert E. Aylor Middle School for the next I'm Determined Mini-Summit. The youth and parent mini-summit is geared toward students receiving special education services. I’m Determined is a program designed to empower students to become more aware of their strengths, weaknesses and needs. The event is free but you must register in advance. Registration deadline is October 1.

    Over the past week, Frederick County Public Schools Interim Superintendent John Lamanna has recognized five outstanding employees with Support Staff Awards. This year marks the 24th year the awards have been presented to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of the school division’s support staff.

  • Free and Reduced Price Meals

    The U.S. Department of Agriculture waivers that allowed all FCPS students to receive free school meals the past two years have expired. This means school breakfast and lunch will not be available to all students at no cost during the 2022-23 school year. However, eligible families can participate in the free and reduced priced meals program.

    School Quality and Perceptions Survey Results- The results from the 2022 Frederick County Public Schools School Quality and Perceptions Survey reveal a majority of students, parents and school-based staff rate the overall quality of their school as good or excellent.

The 2009 Millbrook High School graduate is an English Language Learner teacher at Redbud Run Elementary School. In this video, she discusses how she was inspired to become a teacher while a student at Millbrook and the positive approach she takes to her work of changing lives by teaching students English and being an advocate for them and their families.
